Terms of Service

1. The Service

Brassens provides voice recording and AI-powered transcription tools. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. Authentication is handled by our provider, WorkOS. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of the audio recordings and transcripts you create or upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the Service, including transmitting recordings to AI transcription providers to generate transcripts. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record and transcribe any content, including obtaining consent from other parties where required by law.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• violate any applicable law or the rights of others;
• record or transcribe individuals without lawful basis or required consent;
• upload malware or attempt to disrupt or compromise the Service;
• reverse engineer, resell, or abuse the Service or its providers.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

Paid plans are billed through Stripe under the terms presented at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice.

6. Account Deletion and Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your account enters a 30-day soft-delete grace period during which it is disabled and recoverable on request; after this period your account and associated content are permanently deleted. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties including WorkOS (authentication), Stripe (payments), Supabase (storage), and AI transcription providers. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers’ terms where applicable.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Transcripts are generated by automated systems and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing transcripts before relying on them.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brassens will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service, and the “last updated” date above will be revised. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
